1. Remove from canvas backing and wood dowels.

2. Remove varnish.

3. Remove successive layers of toning, dampstaning, surface soiling.

4. Relax paper, removing warps and creases.

5. Replace small sections of missing image.

6. Refresh toned and faded hand-coloring.
