Specialist Paper restoration firm

Our firm has served a select group of collectors, dealers, and institutions for over a decade.  During that time we have developed a reputation for handling high-value, complex, and difficult projects.  We take particular pride in bringing back pieces that others have deemed far beyond repair. Our technical precision and attention to historical accuracy continue to set us apart -- enabling us to handle work other restorers could not.

We have handled many historically important works on paper over the years, including: a complete set of John James Audubon's Birds of America in the Havell "Double Elephant Folio" edition; watercolors by John Abbot; drawings by Keith Haring; the 1482 and 1513 editions of Ptolemy's Cosmographia; Johann Ruysch's world map of 1507 (multiple times); drawings by Frederick Catherwood; major prints by Andy Warhol; Audubon's Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America, as the complete imperial folio set; a pair of Blaeu globes; a massive 17th century Ottoman manuscript map of the Mediterranean; complete sets of Redouté; significant prints by Dürer; as well as numerous other historical documents on paper and vellum.

From time to time, we advise buyers looking to authenticate material they have purchased or are considering purchasing.  We can provide an expert opinion regarding material authenticity, condition, and past restoration. We also have excellent contacts throughout the works on paper world and are often able to source material.
